Hospice Executive Director

As the Hospice Executive Director, you will be responsible for implementing company policy and mission by maintaining appropriate staffing levels, meeting set standards and goals, and assuring the long-term fiscal viability of the program(s). You are responsible for the overall leadership, direction, growth, and culture of the home health/hospice. You will lead the local program(s), including staffing, hiring, budgeting, leadership, and marketing oversight.

As an Executive Director, you will:

1. Oversee the general management of hospice operations.
2. Develop and monitor the annual branch budget.
3. Analyze gross profit factors, market conditions, business volume/mix, competition, and operational costs.
4. Ensure continued branch growth by expanding the client base.
5. Partner with recruiters to attract and hire staff and clinicians.
6. Oversee patient intake and inquiries, assessing patient needs in collaboration with clinical resources.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Minimum of eight years healthcare administration experience
• Minimum of 3 years in hospice operations management
• Experience with budget development and monitoring
• Broad knowledge of federal and state regulations
• Strong leadership and managerial skills
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Problem-solving, decision-making, and assertiveness skills
• Local market experience is a plus
