Hospice Executive Director

As the Hospice Executive Director, you will be responsible for implementing company policy and mission by maintaining appropriate staffing levels, meeting set standards and goals, and assuring the long-term fiscal viability of the program(s). You are responsible for the overall leadership, direction, growth, and culture of the home health/hospice. You are responsible for leading the local program(s): from staffing and hiring to budgets, leadership, and marketing oversight.

As an Executive Director, you will:

1. Oversee the general management of hospice operations.
2. Develop annual branch budget and monitor expenditures.
3. Analyze gross profit factors, market conditions, business volume/mix, competition, and operational costs.
4. Ensure continued branch growth by expanding new and existing client base.
5. Partner with recruiter to attract and hire branch staff and clinicians.
6. Partner with clinical resources to oversee patient intake and inquiries and assess patient needs.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

1. Registered Nurse
2. Minimum of eight years healthcare administration experience
3. Minimum of 3 years in hospice operations management
4. Prior experience with budgetary responsibilities including budget development and monitoring
5. Broad knowledge of federal and state regulations/administration
6. Outstanding leadership, managerial skills
7. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
8. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and assertiveness skills
9. Local market experience is a PLUS!
