U.S. Bank is seeking an accomplished Software Engineering Director to serve as Head of Corporate Digital Technology.

You will shape strategy, execution, and modernization of WCIB platforms, leading large engineering teams, guiding cloud migration, and establishing governance across enterprise digital solutions. You will partner with executives and stakeholders, champion Agile, DevSecOps, and secure, scalable software practices while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 6+ years leading multiple software engineering teams.
• Executive leadership experience with large teams.
• Experience in Digital Transformation and enterprise technology strategy.
• Deep knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) and platform modernization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing software engineering teams delivering enterprise digital solutions.
• Define and execute long-term technology strategy, roadmap, and modernization initiatives.
• Oversee design, development, deployment, and support of scalable, secure digital apps.
• Partner with executives, product teams, and stakeholders to prioritize investments.
• Drive modern engineering practices: Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, cloud-native development.
• Establish engineering standards, architecture governance, and best practices.
• Ensure regulatory, risk, security, and data protection compliance.
• Lead large-scale technology transformation, including cloud migration and modernization.
• Manage budgets, resources, vendor relationships, and technology investments.
• Foster culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and talent development.
