Job summary

The New York City Police Department is seeking an Executive Director of Compensation and Benefits to oversee auditing of HR and payroll transactions across multiple systems and to ensure data integrity. The role leads time balance audits, processes NYCAPS submissions, and reviews DP-2001 submissions and City Time transactions.

You will manage a large payroll staff, resolve audit findings, and monitor compliance with laws, rules and departmental standards.

Qualifications

• Auditing HR/payroll transactions and ensuring data integrity across systems.
• Experience auditing time balance, payroll processing and leave transactions.
• Familiarity with NYCAPS, City Time and HR/payroll reporting tools.
• Ability to ensure compliance with laws, rules and departmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct time balance audits for separating employees and military personnel.
• Process and update NYCAPS transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Review DP-2001 submissions and City Time leave adjustments.
• Generate and analyze reports in CHRMS, NYCAPS, and related systems.
• Resolve time and leave discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
• Lead a large payroll staff and coordinate with unions and stakeholders.
