Job summary

The New York City Police Department is seeking an experienced Administrative Accountant to oversee auditing of human resources and payroll processes within the Human Resources Division. The role focuses on time balance audits, NYCAPS transactions, leave adjustments, and ensuring data integrity across CHRMS, NYCAPS, and related systems.

Qualifications

A baccalaureate degree with accounting credits and four years of accounting/auditing experience, including supervisory duties.
Alternatively, a NY State CPA license with 18+ months of relevant supervisory accounting/auditing experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct time balance audits for separating employees and military personnel.
Process NYCAPS transactions and submit tickets to resolve discrepancies.
Review DP-2001 submissions and process leave adjustments in City Time.
Generate reports in CHRMS, NYCAPS and related systems for auditing.
Manage payroll staff handling annuity, welfare, and salary processes.
