Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an Executive Director – Control Manager to lead AI-related Risk & Controls and CORE Program governance within the Firmwide CAO. You will oversee control implementation and develop management framework documents across the Analytics Control Manager community.

You will partner with CAO and Line of Defence stakeholders to strengthen risk governance, manage regulatory inquiries, and drive effective control testing and issue resolution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with estimation and AI/ML risk management practices, including risks related to generative AI and AI/ML development.
• Financial services experience in controls, information security, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance; strong understanding of the three lines of defence model.
• Solid understanding of Compliance and Operational Risk Management frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to articulate and explain business issues and controls effectively.
• Strong leadership and judgment to influence a strong risk culture with senior management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure key controls described in AI/ML Analytics Standards and Policies are reflected in CAO CORE content, leveraging knowledge of the CORE platform.
• Engage CAO partners to review processes, strengthen risk & control identification, support control testing, and drive issue management.
• Partner with business and control stakeholders to develop risk and control framework documents for mitigating AI/ML risks.
• Lead risk and control assessments with control management and business teams (e.g., Operational Risk Summaries, Regulatory Topic Assessments, Residual Risk Reviews).
• Strengthen the community of practice for AI/ML Analytics Control Managers across Lines of Business and Corporate Functions, including changes to standards and controls.
• Review and analyze reporting metrics to identify risks or themes; collaborate with partners to enhance metrics for compliance and risk detection.
• Collaborate with the wider CDAO Control Management team to support priorities, including regulatory responses and meetings.
• Work with Line of Defence stakeholders to understand priorities, manage the control environment, and enable successful tests, audits, and regulatory exams in APAC.
• Lead by example with professional attributes to inspire confidence in staff, business, and control partners.
