Job summary

The Arbor Company, a national senior living provider, is seeking an experienced Executive Director for Arbor Terrace Prince William Commons in Woodbridge, VA. You will lead day-to-day operations, set the community tone, oversee resident care, team engagement, occupancy goals, and ensure regulatory compliance while driving financial performance.

Requirements include a Virginia ALF Administrator's license and a Bachelor's degree; proven leadership in senior living with P&L-management and HR

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Active Virginia ALF Administrator's license required.
• 3+ years senior living operations leadership experience.
• Proven success managing P&L, budgets, occupancy and financial goals.
• Ability to build and retain high-performing leadership teams.
• Strong HR, communication and regulatory knowledge.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word; CRM/operational systems experience.

Executive Director – Arbor Terrace Prince William Commons

Arbor Terrace Prince William Commons is an award-winning senior living community in Woodbridge Virginia, offering exceptional Assisted Living and Memory Care.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to lead Arbor Terrace Basking Ridge. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven senior living leader who excels at building strong teams, driving operational and financial performance, and creating an outstanding experience for residents, families, and team members.

What You’ll Do

As the Executive Director, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership and day-to-day operations of the community, including full P&L accountability. You will set the tone for the community and ensure excellence across resident care, team engagement, financial performance, sales and occupancy, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the overall operations and strategic direction of the community
• Maintain full responsibility for the community's P&L, budgeting, and financial performance
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing team of department leaders
• Drive strong resident, family, and team member satisfaction
• Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to support occupancy and revenue goals
• Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for residents and team members
• Establish clear expectations and accountability while fostering a positive, collaborative culture
• Identify opportunities to continuously improve operational performance and the resident experience

Preferred Background

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Active Virginia ALF Administrator's license required
• At least 3 years of senior living operations leadership experience, ideally at the Executive Director/Administrator level
• Demonstrated success managing P&L, budgets, occupancy, and financial goals
• Proven ability to build, lead, and retain high-performing leadership teams
• Strong knowledge of employee performance management and relevant HR practices
• Thorough understanding of senior living regulations, operational best practices, and industry trends
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, as well as experience utilizing CRM and operational systems

Compensation

Salary: $150k +

Salary Range: Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated leadership success.
