Job summary

The Arbor Company seeks an Activities Director (Engagement Director) to lead a vibrant engagement program for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. You will design daily activities, coordinate events, and create monthly calendars to enrich residents' lives.

Ideal candidates are creative, organized, and excellent communicators, capable of leading both group and individual activities while fostering partnerships with families and volunteers.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in activities, recreation, life enrichment, or a related field.
• Experience in senior living is preferred but not required.
• Experience supporting individuals living with Alzheimer's or dementia is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead meaningful daily activities for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents
• Plan community events, celebrations, outings, and family programs
• Create and maintain monthly activity calendars and resident newsletters

What You'll Do

As our Activities Director, you'll lead the planning and execution of a vibrant engagement program that celebrates each resident's unique interests and abilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and lead meaningful daily activities for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents

• Plan community events, celebrations, outings, and family-centered programs

• Create and maintain monthly activity calendars and resident newsletters

• Encourage resident participation through creative, person-centered programming

• Supervise and support activity team members

• Build relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and community partners

• Ensure programs support residents' physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being

• Maintain activity supplies, documentation, and regulatory compliance

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is:

• Creative, energetic, and highly organized

• An excellent communicator with strong customer service skills

• Proficient with basic computer programs and administrative tasks
