State of Oregon's Department of Early Learning and Care (DELC) is seeking a Deputy Director of Operations to lead the operations, budgeting, and cross‑agency coordination required to deliver high‑quality services for Oregon's children and families. This executive role sits in DELC's director's office, guiding systems and teams in a hybrid work environment with occasional travel.

You will advise the Director, oversee the Operations Division, and drive equity, accountability, and performance

Qualifications

• Seven years of management experience or four years with a related bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to communicate complex operational and fiscal information to diverse audiences.
• Experience guiding organizational change, modernization, and cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Advise the Director and executive leadership on agency priorities, policy, and planning.
• Oversee Operations Division, including data, IT, and budget planning.
• Monitor progress toward strategic goals and drive formal accountability.
• Supervise operational leaders and foster continuous improvement.
• Advance equity and community engagement across diverse Oregon communities.
