City of Austin is seeking an Airport Deputy Chief Officer of Operations & Experience to lead multi-functional airport programs and initiatives. You will shape short- and long-term strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage budgets, while serving as a key representative to City bodies and stakeholders.

The role requires executive leadership experience in airport operations, a strong track record in organizational change, and a commitment to delivering a superior passenger experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with six years of related experience, including two in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
• Master’s degree may substitute for up to two years of the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage programs, functions, and initiatives across airport operations.
• Develop and implement short- and long-range strategic plans.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local, and industry regulations.
• Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and ensuring divisions operate within budget.
• Represent the department to boards, City departments, and external entities.
• Oversee cross-department coordination and drive customer experience improvements.
