Job summary

City of Austin's AUS is seeking a Senior Airport Programs Manager to develop, plan, and coordinate work across multiple functional areas. You will lead strategic initiatives, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while managing department budgets and representing the department publicly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Aviation Management, or related field.
• Six years of related experience, including two years in a supervisory role.
• Master's degree may substitute for part of experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports Airport Chief Officer in leading programs and initiatives.
• Develops and implements short- and long-range strategies and budgets.
• Ensures compliance with Federal, State, Local regulations.
• Represents the department to boards, City departments, and external agencies.
• Coordinates activities with other City departments and service providers.
• Responds to inquiries and issues from internal and external sources.
