Job summary

The Waters in Minnesota is seeking a Director of Culinary Services to provide full-scope leadership of the community Culinary Service Department. You will manage budgets, menus, and staff to deliver a high-quality dining experience for residents and guests.

This role requires hands-on cooking, staff training, and ensuring sanitary standards, with a focus on upscale, hotel-like service in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• Requires leadership of the Culinary Services Department with staff oversight.
• Develops a comprehensive upscale Culinary Services program for residents and guests.
• Ensures properly trained, uniformly dressed staff and consistent service standards.
• Prepares recipes to ensure a fine dining experience for residents and guests.
• Participates in daily kitchen operations including cooking and service with speed and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provides overall leadership, training, development and oversight for all staff within the Culinary Services Department.
• Develops and implements a comprehensive, professional, upscale Culinary Services program in order to create and maintain a positive experience for all customers.
• Ensures professional trained, properly uniformed, and talented staff
• Prepares recipes utilizing appropriate ingredients to ensure a fine dining experience for residents and guests
• Participates directly in daily kitchen operations: cooking, serving and cleaning and exhibits cooking standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency
• Demonstrates knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production
