Job summary

The Long Beach Yacht Club (LBYC) in California is seeking a General Manager to lead all club operations and programs at a world-class standard. This role interfaces with the Board, committees and membership to execute plans and ensure superior service across facilities, F&B and member services.

Ideal candidates bring data-driven decision making, strong leadership, governance expertise and a track record in private club or yacht club management, with a focus on capital projects and member

Qualifications

• Proven ability to set goals, make data-driven decisions and drive continuous improvement.
• Ability to integrate with club culture while maintaining quality member relationships.
• Creative and innovative executive who can lead within a union environment and motivate teams.
• Experience leading governance and committees to meet mission, vision and goals.
• Excellent technology, communication and presentation skills for informing governance, members and staff.
• Experience in yacht club or private club management is highly desirable.
• Ability to develop strategic initiatives, execute plans and manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day club operations including facilities, F&B and member services.
• Direct governance interactions with Board, officers and committees to ensure policy alignment.
• Manage capital projects, labor relations and risk management.
