Job summary

City of Buda (TX) is seeking an Assistant City Manager to provide executive oversight across departments, ensuring excellent customer service and high integrity as a member of the leadership team.

The role entails planning, organizing, directing, and reviewing activities of professional staff, serving in the absence of the City Manager, and collaborating with the City Council and regional partners on strategic initiatives and budget development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business administration, public administration, urban/regional planning, finance, or related field.
• Five (5) years of municipal governmental supervisory or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a member of the Leadership Team and advises the City Manager and City Council on strategic goals.
• Guides operations of the City as Assistant City Manager and develops programs to meet departmental objectives.
• Manages special projects and coordinates grant writing and reporting for the City.
