Qualifications

• Culinary Arts degree and 2+ years in executive chef role in a large operation.
• Five years kitchen experience in medium to large organizations.
• 2+ years hiring, training and managing food service staff.
• Experience with menu design, food preparation and culinary terminology.
• Must have current ServSafe certificate.
• Ability to operate computer equipment for data entry and retrieval.
• Experience with budgeting and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Plan, test and cost new menus and menu items.
• Lead sanitation and maintain health department standards.
• Function as lead worker over cooks and kitchen staff.
• Participate in interviewing and hiring food service personnel and actions.
• Schedule staff and manage time-off requests with discretion.
• Read financial performance data and adjust activities accordingly.
• Handle purchasing and inventory of food and kitchen supplies; conduct month-end inventory.
