Job summary

Brightwater Senior Living of Highland seeks a talented Chef to lead our Dining Services team in an Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care community. The role oversees kitchen operations, staff, menu execution, budgeting, inventory, and special dining events.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong culinary and leadership skills, a commitment to food quality, nutrition, sanitation, and outstanding presentation, and provide residents with exceptional dining experiences every day.

Qualifications

• Culinary Arts degree required; 2 years in direct food preparation and presentation or 5 years high-volume cooking experience.
• Two years’ management experience required.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions for ordering and recipes.
• ServSafe HACCP certification or Food Safe within 30 days of hire.
• Meet state health requirements and maintain required permits.

Responsibilities

• Lead Dining Services team and oversee kitchen operations.
• Ensure proper budget adherence and inventory management.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff to meet quality standards.
