Belmont Village Rancho Santa Fe is opening a Chef Manager role to lead a restaurant-style culinary operation for a luxury senior living community. You will oversee kitchen leadership, food quality, menu execution, and resident dining satisfaction.

Working with a culinary team and regional leaders, you will establish a culture of culinary excellence and hospitality, delivering restaurant-quality dining for independent living, assisted living, and memory care residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ServSafe certificate.
• Formal culinary training through degree or certificate program.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English.
• Ability to work flexible schedule as the needs of the dining program require.
• Demonstrated successful use of technology in the workplace including MS Office and POS.
• Minimum two years comparable kitchen managerial experience with five years experience in volume cooking.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food service compliance while ensuring quality and productivity by scheduling and coordinating kitchen staff.
• Ensure recipe consistency and adherence to company standards while showcasing culinary creativity for special events.
• Drive resident and guest satisfaction through clear communication and outstanding dining service.
• Manage food ordering and equipment inventory to minimize waste and control costs.
• Build a positive workplace culture by training employees in safety, food handling, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with community leadership, regional teams, and corporate support to align with goals.
• Lead staffing efforts, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, coaching, and training.
