The role requires culinary training, ServSafe certification, strong English communication, and proven leadership in a kitchen, with a focus on safety, cost control, and excellence in service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• ServSafe certificate is required/preferred.
• Culinary training through a degree or certificate program is required.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Flexible schedule to meet dining program needs.
• Experience using MS Office and POS systems in a kitchen setting.
• Minimum two years of kitchen managerial experience with five years of volume cooking.
• Reliable attendance essential for Belmont Village operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food service compliance while ensuring quality and productivity through scheduling and coordinating kitchen staff.
• Ensure recipe consistency and adherence to standards; plan menu for special events.
• Drive resident and guest satisfaction through excellent meal preparation and service.
• Manage food ordering and inventory to minimize waste and control costs within budget.
• Train staff in safety, food handling, and kitchen cleanliness; enforce company policies.
• Collaborate with community leadership, regional teams, and corporate support to align goals.
• Lead staffing activities including interviewing, hiring, performance management, coaching, training, and delegation.
