Job summary

Isla Bella Beach Resort, located in Marathon, FL, seeks a skilled chef to manage kitchen operations across banquets, room service, dining room, and special events. You will supervise food preparation, hire and train staff, and schedule personnel to meet demanding guest experiences.

Requirements include a culinary education with 2–5 years of chef experience, strong English communication, and the ability to multitask in a high-volume setting while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary graduate with 2–5 years of chef experience.
• Must have excellent command of English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food-related projects including banquets, room service, dining room, and special parties.
• Supervises the preparation of all food items.
• Hires and trains new employees to the department.
• Schedules all departmental personnel according to demands.
• Supervises and evaluates all departmental personnel.
• Communicates with personnel of other departments, especially stewarding and purchasing.
• Maintains records of personnel performance, labor cost, sickness, and overtime in the department.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
