Job summary

Isla Bella Beach Resort in Marathon, FL is seeking a skilled culinary professional to support the Executive Chef in leading a high-end kitchen team. The role focuses on developing menus, ensuring top-quality food, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a luxury resort setting.

You will help forecast budgets, schedule staff, and supervise daily kitchen activities while upholding rigorous safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

High School diploma/GED required.
Degree in Culinary Management or Hospitality Management preferred.
3+ years of culinary experience in a full-service hotel environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the Executive Chef with supervision and coordination of culinary activities and staff, including hiring, training, and development.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting on labor, food, beverage, and supplies to maximize revenue and minimize costs.
Assist in creating staff schedules to meet demand and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Oversee planning and execution of food preparation and quality control for timely service.
Contribute to menu development for special events and banquets in partnership with senior culinary leadership.
Assist in recipe development and standardization to maintain consistent quality.
Monitor kitchen costs and inventory, and manage loss prevention and security of items.
Assist catering sales with special menus and pricing structures.
