Eurest in San Diego, CA is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations, ensuring a safe, sanitary work environment and directing meal preparation per corporate guidelines.

This energetic culinary leader will manage staff, implement menus, train cooks, monitor food safety, and uphold quality across high-volume corporate dining environments including cafes and executive dining rooms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience.
• Hands-on chef experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines.
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safety and sanitation.
• Establishes cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
• Maintains inventory and ensures product availability.
• Adheres to health regulations and company policies.
