Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a passionate Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team at the Delta Hotel by Marriott Virginia Beach Waterfront. You will shape daily operations, oversee menu development, and ensure exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Exceptional leadership, communication and organizational skills; ability to lead and develop a high-performing culinary team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of hotel policies and procedures.
• Interview, hire, train, evaluate performance and discipline as needed.
• Set daily priorities and assign production tasks to staff.
• Review daily menu specials and provide feedback to Sous Chefs.
• Review banquet orders and note changes.
• Communicate directions clearly to staff in writing and verbally.
• Take inventory of specified food items daily.
• Requisition supplies and ensure proper receiving and storage.
• Ensure staff report to work as scheduled and track attendance.
• Stock kitchen areas with tools, supplies and equipment.
• Keep recipe cards and production schedules current and posted.
• Ensure recipes and yield guides are followed.
• Monitor staff performance and rectify deficiencies.
• Observe guest reactions and coordinate with service staff for satisfaction.
• Conduct kitchen walk-throughs and maintain quality standards.
• Develop new menu items and write recipes.
• Review sales and food costs; resolve discrepancies with Controller.
• Oversee training of new hires and ongoing staff development.
