Job summary

Hawkers Asian Street Food in Arlington, VA is seeking an Executive Chef to lead back-of-house operations, drive culinary execution, and develop the kitchen team. This full-time, exempt role partners with the General Manager and Regional Chef to optimize food cost, labor, sanitation, and guest experience.

You will own all kitchen standards, supervise the Sous Chefs and cooks, ensure HACCP compliance, and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years progressive culinary leadership in a high-volume restaurant.
• Executive Chef or senior kitchen leadership experience.
• Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience managing food cost and labor cost at a restaurant.
• ServSafe Manager Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all back-of-house operations and culinary execution.
• Develop Sous Chefs and kitchen team to meet performance standards.
• Ensure health, safety, sanitation, and HACCP compliance.
• Maintain food quality standards and plate presentation across dayparts.
