The role emphasizes hands-on leadership in a high-volume environment, with focus on quality, cost control, and staff development. Strong computer skills and ServSafe credentials are valued.

Qualifications

• An A.S. or equivalent culinary credential is preferred.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience (3–5 years).
• High-volume catering and institutional cooking experience advantageous.
• Hands-on chef experience required and leadership in a kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Plan regular and modified menus per guidelines and recipes.
• Train kitchen staff on food prep, safety, and sanitation practices.
• Maintain cleaning, maintenance, and safety schedules for equipment and areas.
• Manage inventory to ensure adequate product availability.
• Oversee leftovers usage within company guidelines and waste control.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and audits.
• Participate in departmental meetings and staff development.
