Morrison Healthcare, part of Compass Group, is hiring an Executive Chef I at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. You will oversee kitchen operations, ensure safe, sanitary workflows, and lead menu development aligned with corporate programs.

This healthcare leadership role requires a hands-on culinary professional with strong cost controls, staff training, and a proven track record in high-volume foodservice. Join a team focused on quality, patient satisfaction, and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• High volume, complex healthcare foodservice operations experience.
• Institutional and batch cooking experiences.
• Hands-on chef experience required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food trends, quality, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation.
• Must be proficient with computers; MS Office suite.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus per guidelines.
• Follows standardized recipes, portions, and presentation standards; uses production worksheets and waste logs; tastes meals.
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safety, and equipment operation.
• Establishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas.
• Maintains inventory of food and supplies within guidelines.
• Decides on leftover food utilization within company guidelines.
• Complies with health, sanitation, and safety regulations; participates in audits.
• Attends departmental meetings and staff development programs.
