Job summary

Visitlive in Allentown is seeking an Executive Chef for the Sports & Social Allentown location to oversee day-to-day culinary operations, staffing, and food quality in a high-volume venue. You will manage cost controls, inventory, safety, and sanitation, while leading a team to deliver scratch-made menu items, curated cocktails, live events, and exceptional guest experiences.

Flexible for evenings, weekends, and holidays; strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Two to four years supervising kitchen staff in a high-volume setting.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Control the day-to-day culinary operations of the venue and staffing levels.
• Maintain professionalism and kitchen cleanliness and uniform standards.
• Maintain updated costing and documentation of all dishes prepared and sold.
• Establish procedures and timeframes for conducting inventory; set min/max stocks.
• Ensure security and proper storage of food, inventory and equipment; replenish supplies timely.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is functional and kitchen areas are cleaned per health standards.
• Resolve staff conflicts and manage heavy shifts to get the job done.
• Interact with guests to resolve service issues with courtesy.
• Maintain high quality standards of products and service.
• Control BOH food costs through ordering and weekly inventory review.
• Communicate standards and cooking methods clearly to staff.
• Maintain a safe working environment and comply with standards.
• Keep kitchen organized and clean per company and health dept rules.
• Create, organize and manage work schedules, shipments and cleaning plans.
• Recruit, interview and hire supervisory and hourly staff; mentor and discipline as needed.
• Train employees on an ongoing basis and lead by example.
