Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, seeks an Executive Chef to support Augusta and surrounding areas. You will lead kitchen teams, oversee production, and ensure quality meals while managing safety, inventory, and costs.

This hands-on role requires developing staff, balancing creativity with execution, and sustaining high service standards in a busy healthcare setting. Strong leadership and culinary skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience.
• Strong hands-on cooking skills and experience leading kitchen teams.
• Experience in high-volume, complex food service operations.
• Experience with batch cooking and large-scale meal production.
• Knowledge of food trends, menu development, presentation, food safety, and cost controls.
• Ability to organize production, manage inventory, and maintain quality during busy service.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Commitment to excellent service and client satisfaction.
• ServSafe certification highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring meals meet standards for taste, quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Plan regular and modified menus following established guidelines and client needs.
• Guide teams in recipe execution, portion control, batch cooking, and production planning.
• Taste meals, review production records, and track waste to control costs.
• Train and develop kitchen staff in cooking techniques, equipment use, and sanitation.
• Manage food and supply inventory within budget.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety procedures.
• Build strong client relationships and participate in satisfaction initiatives.
