Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is seeking an Executive Chef to lead Augusta-area kitchen operations, develop menus, and mentor staff. This hands-on role balances creativity with cost control and safety to deliver consistent, high-quality meals for clients and patients.

You will oversee production, inventory, safety, and compliance, while driving client satisfaction and teamwork in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management in high-volume food service.
• Strong hands-on cooking skills and experience leading kitchen teams.
• Experience with batch cooking and large-scale meal production.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• ServSafe certification highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations ensuring meals meet taste, quality, and presentation standards.
• Plan regular and modified menus following guidelines to meet client needs.
• Guide teams in recipe execution, portion control, batch cooking, and production planning.
• Taste meals, review production records, and track waste to improve quality and control costs.
• Train and develop kitchen staff in cooking techniques, equipment use, safety, and sanitation.
• Manage food and supply inventory within budget.
• Maintain cleaning and equipment maintenance schedules; ensure health regulations compliance.
• Build relationships with clients and participate in satisfaction initiatives.
