Job summary

You will direct meal preparation in line with corporate programs and guidelines, driving quality and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

This role focuses on menu planning, staff training, and compliant operations in a large healthcare foodservice setting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on chef experience with leadership of kitchen staff in high-volume environments.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with menu planning, recipe standardization, and portion control.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines.
• Follows standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards; uses production worksheets and waste logs.
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, equipment operation, and sanitation.
• Maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas.
• Keeps inventory within guidelines and ensures product availability.
• Decides utilization of leftover food within company guidelines.
• Complies with health and sanitation regulations and audits.
• Adheres to safety policies and participates in staff development.
