Job summary

Legends Global in Syracuse, NY is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the Food & Beverage kitchen operations at The Oncenter. The role demands high-volume event execution, menu development, cost control, and team leadership to ensure premier guest experiences.

You will oversee menu planning, staff hiring and training, quality assurance, and adherence to health codes while managing budgets and schedules to meet event demands.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum eight years of culinary experience in high-volume events.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in a union environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop seasonal menu items with local ingredients.
• Inspect recipes and ensure quality throughout production.
• Maintain health department scores and third-party audits.
• Create production schedules to meet business demands.
• Manage department budget and labor costs.
• Hire and train kitchen and stewarding staff.
• Produce events per Banquet Event Orders and proposals.
• Develop client tastings and chef's tables when possible.
