Job summary
Legends Global is seeking an experienced Sous Chef for The Oncenter in Syracuse, NY. You will help lead culinary operations, manage production and sanitation, and supervise kitchen staff in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
The role reports to the Executive Chef & Executive Sous Chef and requires strong leadership, banquet experience, and a dedication to quality and safety. This on-site position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Minimum of four (4) years in banquet facility producing meals for large or multiple events.
- Two-year associate degree in culinary arts, or a combination of education and experience.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- ServSafe & TIPS certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support and execute daily culinary operations with the Executive Chef team.
- Lead production and ensure timely delivery for events.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health compliance.
- Supervise cooks and culinary staff; provide coaching.
- Assist with inventory, ordering, and waste control.
- Direct kitchen operations in absence of senior chefs.
