Cedar Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living in Pompton Plains, New Jersey seeks an experienced Executive Chef to lead its Signature Dining Program. You will manage a culinary team, develop chef-inspired, from-scratch menus, and drive creative, high-quality meals for residents.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes sanitation, food safety, budgeting, and strong resident relations, with opportunities for growth, training, and advancing the department within a growing senior living network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years Executive Chef experience.
• Fine dining experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of ala carte and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation and food presentation.
• Good knowledge of PC software and POS systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of food production within budget guidelines.
• Supervise and support kitchen staff to meet performance standards.
• Implement and maintain core menus, recipe management, and BOH systems.
• Ensure sanitation standards and monthly internal audits.
• Maintain compliance with federal and state food safety regulations.
• Build relationships with residents through regular dining room visits.
