Job summary

Cedar Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our Signature Dining Program in a hands-on leadership capacity in New Jersey. You will oversee the culinary team, develop from-scratch menus, and ensure top-quality food presentation while controlling costs and maintaining safety standards.

You will manage core menus, supervise BOH operations, and engage residents to deliver exceptional dining experiences consistent with our award-winning program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years Executive Chef experience.
• Fine dining experience a plus.
• Knowledge of ala carte and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation and food cost controls.
• Good knowledge of PC software and POS systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of food production, ensuring efficiency, quality and consistency within budget.
• Supervise and support kitchen staff to meet performance standards.
• Implement and maintain core menus, recipe management and BOH systems.
• Ensure sanitation standards and monthly audits are conducted.
• Maintain compliance with federal and state food safety regulations.
• Build relationships with residents through regular dining room visits and engagement.
