Job summary

Trilogy Health Services, LLC in Hickory, NC is seeking a Director of Food Services, Executive Chef, to oversee daily operations, menu development, and safe, appealing meals for residents in line with federal, state, and local standards.

You will lead a culinary team, manage budgets and staffing, handle diet changes, and collaborate with Clinical, Environmental, and Life Enrichment teams to ensure high-quality dining and strict safety practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HSE required.
• 1–3 years of dining leadership experience in senior living.
• CDM or CFSM certification in food service management.
• National certification in food service management and safety.
• Associate's degree in Culinary Services or Hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Food Services Department operations and collaborate with Clinical, Environmental, Life Enrichment, and other departments to maintain high care and service standards.
• Complete staff schedules and coordinate staffing within budgets.
• Manage diet and meal preferences by processing diet changes and interviewing residents/family within 24–72 hours of admission.
• Maintain inventory of food, supplies, and equipment, and procure as needed.
• Control costs by staying within the budget and using the spend-down sheet.

Education

High School Diploma or GED/HSE

Dining leadership experience in Senior Living (1–3 years)

Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Certified Food Service Manager (CFSM)

National certification for food service management and safety

Associate's degree in Culinary Services or Hospitality
