Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking an Executive Chef (Director of Culinary Experience) to lead the community dining program, overseeing food procurement, preparation, menus, and budgeting. You will manage both back-of-house and front-of-house teams, ensuring quality service and resident satisfaction.

You will develop menus, train staff, and plan special events while maintaining regulatory compliance and cost controls to deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary education is preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and education is required.
• Serve Safe Manager (Food Handler Certificate) is preferred or required, with understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen and dining operations.
• Supervise culinary services staff, including scheduling, hiring, and performance reviews.
• Plan menus and execute meal preparation and events within budget.
• Maintain inventory controls for food, beverages, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure all food handling and service meet health code requirements.
