Job summary

Cogir Senior Living, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, oversees a network of senior living communities nationwide. The Director of Culinary Experience leads the community dining services, including food procurement, menu development, budgeting, and staff management to deliver exceptional resident dining experiences.

With a focus on safety, quality, and resident satisfaction, the role collaborates with residents to tailor menus within monthly budgets and plans special events that enhance the dining

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary education is preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and education is required.
• Serve Safe Manager (Food Handler Certificate) with an understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and staffing at community dining venues.
• Direct culinary staff including scheduling, training, and performance reviews.
• Plan menus and coordinate food service for events.
• Manage inventory and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with health codes and safety standards.
• Develop budgets for food, supplies, and labor.
• Collaborate with staff and residents to tailor menus within monthly budgets.
• Aim for high resident and family satisfaction.
• Plan, prepare and execute special events and themed meals.
