Job summary

State of Oklahoma, Norman Veterans Home, 1776 E. Robinson Street, Norman, OK 73071, is seeking a Culinary Manager to oversee all food service operations and act as Executive Chef and Director of Hospitality for our veterans.

The role requires CDM or CFPP credentials, ServSafe certification, and a minimum of 3 years in management, preferably in healthcare or high-volume dining. English proficiency and cross-department collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CDM or CFPP credential.
• Must meet Oklahoma Qualified Dietary Manager standards per OAC 310:675-9-1.
• Current ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience; healthcare/LTC preferred.
• Strong English communication and cross-department coordination.

Responsibilities

• Quality control and veteran-focused dining experience ownership.
• Cafeteria and dining environment oversight and cleanliness.
• Strategic communication between Dietary, Nursing, Logistics and Administration.
• Regulatory mastery: ensure compliance with OSDH, CMS, USDVA; maintain sanitation logs.
• Staff development, inventory management, and budgeting within constraints.
