Job summary

The incumbent will manage clinical and administrative functions, coordinate with federal and state partners, and maintain 24-hour on-call availability to address emergencies and special requests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 4 years managerial experience in health or nursing care facility or veterans services.
• Licensure as Licensed Nursing Home Administrator is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct operation of a state veterans home providing long-term health care and medical services; set goals and budgets.
• Serve as fiduciary for incompetent patients and manage funds.
• Plan and direct patient care programs, support services, staff training and budget planning; ensure compliance.
• Coordinate program requirements with state and federal agencies; review contracts and purchases.
• Participate in meetings; interpret guidelines; respond to inquiries; on-call as needed.
