Job summary

The Director of Culinary Experience (Executive Chef) at Cogir Senior Living oversees dining services across the community, handling food procurement, menu development, and budget management for food, supplies, and labor. You will lead a diverse dining team, ensuring high-quality meals, compliance with health codes, and resident satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in food preparation, 3+ years in executive chef leadership, and a strong background in menu creativity and event planning

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in food preparation.
• At least 3 years of progressive management experience as an Executive Chef.
• Serve Safe Manager certification and kitchen sanitation knowledge.
• Experience with special events and banquets is a plus.
• Ability to understand budgets and cost controls for culinary operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and staffing of the community kitchen and dining venues.
• Manage culinary services staff, scheduling, performance reviews, and hiring.
• Plan menus and coordinate meal preparation and events.
• Maintain inventory control of food, beverages, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure food safety and health code compliance.
• Understand and manage monthly and annual budgets for the culinary services department.
