Job summary

Cogir USA seeks an Executive Chef to oversee dining services across our senior living communities, driving food procurement, preparation, service, and menu development while managing budgets and a dining team.

The role focuses on delivering exceptional resident dining experiences, staffing, training, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards in a multi-site senior living environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in food preparation
• 3+ years progressive management as Executive Chef
• Experience with front-of-house operations is a plus
• Experience with special events and banquets is a plus
• Strong budget awareness and cost control
• Creative menu development experience
• Compassion and excellence in resident care
• Experience in senior living or hotel settings is a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of community kitchen and dining venues
• Manage culinary services staff including scheduling, performance reviews, and hiring
• Plan and execute menus and events within budgets
• Maintain inventory control of food, beverages, supplies, and equipment
• Ensure compliance with health codes and food safety standards
• Monitor monthly and annual budgets for culinary services
• Collaborate with staff and residents on recipes and menus
• Ensure resident and family satisfaction with dining experiences
• Plan, prepare and execute special events and themed meals
