Job summary

Zucker Family Production Kitchen in North Charleston, SC seeks an Executive Chef to lead our production kitchen and community meals programs. You will oversee meal production, staffing, and safety, while guiding volunteers and staff to deliver nutritious meals for the community.

The role requires culinary leadership, menu development, and strong collaboration with partners. This full-time position emphasizes community impact and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Culinary Arts, Food-Service Operations, Culinary Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of four years of professional kitchen experience, including supervisory/management responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, meal production, workflow, sanitation, and food safety.
• Develop menus and coordinate high-volume meal preparation based on program needs and resources.
• Manage food purchasing, inventory, storage, and utilization while minimizing waste.
• Ensure kitchen equipment, workspaces, and food preparation areas are maintained safely and appropriately.
• Oversee Community Meals programs and budget.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and support to staff and volunteers.
