Job summary

Morrison Healthcare in Charleston, SC is seeking a Senior Executive Chef to lead culinary operations. You will oversee menu development, inventory, purchasing, food cost controls and staff management to deliver high-quality dining experiences across retail, board meals, dining and catering.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on kitchen management and a track record of improving performance. Relocation assistance is available and Medical, Dental, Vision benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree preferred.
• Bachelor's in Food Services Technology/Management or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience.
• Experience planning and managing catering events from a culinary perspective.
• Strong leadership skills and desire to work with an industry leader.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, Email and the Internet).
• Ability to communicate at multiple levels including management, department, customer and staff.
• ServSafe certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop high culinary standards for retail, board meals, dining and catering operations.
• Train, develop and provide inspirational leadership to local culinary team.
• Lead corporate social responsibility, food seasonality, health/wellness and high‑quality culinary arts on campus.
• Analyze ongoing performance and trends in the local operation and devise and lead improvements.
• Demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and be able to explain them to customers accurately.
