Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, seeks an Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations at an 80-bed hospital with an on-site retail cafe in Johnson City, TN. You will supervise a team of 14 and direct meals per corporate guidelines.

The role requires 3–5 years in culinary/kitchen management, strong food safety knowledge, and leadership to train staff and ensure high-quality service. Relocation and sign-on bonus are available.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• Three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food trends, quality, sanitation, and food cost controls.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
• Experience with computers; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Email and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines.
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation based on Company and regulatory standards.
• Establishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas.
• Maintains inventory of food and non-food supplies to stay within established guidelines while ensuring product availability.
• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
