Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, seeks a Sous Chef to oversee the Culinary Department for a facility. You will supervise and assist in preparation and cooking, help develop daily menus, and work with the Executive Chef to implement new menus and ordering.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience is required.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience is preferred.
• Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, cost control, and presentation is important.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email/internet is required.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures.
• Assist with planning and creating menus.
• Produce and execute catering events.
• Roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
