Are you ready to lead a culinary team like Poseidon commands the sea? Can you distinguish East Coast from West Coast oysters with your eyes closed and a whisk in hand? If so, shuck yeah, you might be the one we’re looking for.

Pearlz Oyster Bar in Charleston seeks a fearless, seafood-savvy Executive Chef to bring heat and butter to our kitchen. We need someone who can sauté, delegate, and lead the back of house like a true seafood sorcerer.

Your Daily Responsibilities:
  • Manage the kitchen operations — inventory, scheduling, ordering, ensuring quality control.
  • Create daily specials that impress guests and generate buzz.
  • Maintain plating standards and presentation quality.
  • Coach and motivate your team, and keep morale high.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper labeling and cleanliness.
  • Manage deliveries and handle any issues with suppliers.
What You Bring:
  • At least 3 years of kitchen experience, ideally with seafood.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Menu development and cost control experience.
  • Culinary degree, ServSafe certification, and a passion for shellfish are a plus.
