Job summary

Northern Waters Casino Resort seeks a Chief Financial Officer to oversee finances and accounting for the Tribal Enterprise and related operations. You will ensure GAAP compliance, manage financial controls, and lead budgeting, reporting, and audits in coordination with the PEFC.

The role requires strategic oversight of cash flow, financial policy development, and liaison with external auditors and tribal leadership. This full-time position offers a comprehensive compensation package and benefits.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in accounting or experience equivalent.
• 7 years accounting experience in progressively higher-level positions.
• 3-5 years’ experience in electronic financial accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Strong skills supervising people, projects, and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Tribal Enterprise Accounting Staff.
• Read, implement, and adhere to NWCR Policies and Procedures.
• Oversee monthly closing process and reconciliation of accounts.
• Provide cash flow analysis for management and PEFC review.
• Analyze and prepare financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Coordinate and lead annual audit process with external auditors.
• Oversee annual budgeting and present to the PEFC.
