Job summary

Northern Waters Casino in the Tribal Administration serves as the financial hub for grants and tribal programs. The Tribal Fiscal Administrator will manage general ledger, grant reporting, and compliance with GAAP and federal requirements (including Uniform Guidance and CPRG).

You will prepare statements, monitor grant budgets, and support audits, working closely with the CFO and program managers. The role emphasizes accurate accounting, timely reimbursement requests, and strong internal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 1–3+ years in government finances and grant reporting/accounting.
• Experience in Tribal government accounting or nonprofit/government funds preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and grant reporting requirements (Uniform Guidance, CPRG).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update general ledger with grant coding.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and monthly close.
• Reconcile subsidiary ledgers and grant accounts.
• Support grant funding processing, including payables/receivables and payroll allocations.
• Monitor grant budgets, expenditures, and cash activity; ensure compliance with award terms.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual grant reports and drawdowns.
• Manage grant files and audit-ready documentation; support audits.
• Develop internal controls and training on CPRG requirements.
