Vizient seeks an AVP, Category Management to lead a multi-level team and shape the strategic vision for multiple portfolios. This executive role partners with Vizient leaders and clients to drive transformation, implement best practices, AI governance, and sustained value delivery across sourcing, contracting, analytics, and supplier relations.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of leadership in strategic sourcing, category management or healthcare ops and an MBA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in strategic sourcing, category management, healthcare operations, contracting, or related business leadership.
• 7+ years of progressive people leadership experience, including leading managers and multi-level teams.
• Experience leading organizations of 30+ employees and transforming high-performing teams.
• Executive-level experience shaping business strategy and influencing senior executives across complex organizations.
• Advanced AI fluency with governance and responsible adoption to improve organizational effectiveness and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multi-level organization of people leaders and professionals within Category Management.
• Drive transformation initiatives to improve scalability, efficiency, and client value.
• Establish strategic vision for Category Management across multiple portfolios and ensure alignment with Vizient's objectives.
• Provide executive oversight of complex sourcing, contracting, supplier, and category initiatives.
• Lead enterprise change and collaboration across leadership teams to support growth and value.
• Champion responsible AI adoption and governance across the organization.
