Qualifications

• 7+ years of category management or strategic sourcing experience.
• Proven ability to influence executive, clinical, operational, and supplier stakeholders.
• Experience leading cross-functional sourcing and category initiatives and committees.
• Strong negotiation and contracting experience with complex suppliers.
• Advanced analytical skills translating data into strategic recommendations.
• Excellent executive communication and relationship management.
• Familiarity with AI tools and responsible use in business decisions.
• Healthcare operations or group purchasing experience preferred.
• Hybrid work model with in-office presence three days per week in Irving, TX.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead category strategies for assigned portfolios.
• Serve as primary category expert for stakeholder groups across sourcing, contracting, and value analysis.
• Identify opportunities through spend/utilization/market analysis.
• Drive end-to-end sourcing including RFIs/RFPs, negotiations, and contract development.
• Build consensus among clients, suppliers, and Vizient teams to meet objectives.
• Lead stakeholder committees and present strategies to executives.
• Manage a cross-functional portfolio with analytics, implementation, and value analysis teams.
• Apply analytics to inform strategy and monitor supplier performance; leverage AI insights.
