The School of Business is searching for an Executive Assistant to the Dean on the Macon, Georgia campus.
The Executive Assistant will assist the Dean's Office and Program Directors with a large variety of duties, especially web- and technology-based. Technology-related duties include extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, learning management systems, student academic record systems, and Workday. This position must provide the Dean's Office with the necessary information to effectively lead the School of Business and carry out its day-to-day operations in Macon. The Executive Assistant must be able to assume full responsibility, frequently working independently, to see assigned duties and projects through to completion in an efficient and effective way with little or no direct supervision. Requiring excellent written and oral communication skills, this position must have the knowledge and communication skills to work well with the faculty, staff, and students to assure our students the best educational experience possible. The Executive Assistant will also handle accounting, payroll, budgeting, and personnel assistance.
Other duties of this position include staff assignments, arranging meetings and functions, and supervising and hiring student workers and other staff. This position generally works independently with little or no supervision, and the responsibilities handled are intended to ensure the efficient operation of the School of Business in Macon and all its related degree programs and constituencies.
The Executive Assistant will also support the Director of Operations on the Macon Campus, by assisting with AACSB reports, faculty evaluation, supplies and office management, recruiting and supervising student workers, handling special events such as faculty meetings and graduation reception, and serving as a liaison to the Macon campus faculty.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and one year of prior administrative support experience is required. In lieu of education, equivalent directly relevant experience will be considered.
Selection of the final candidate is contingent on a successful criminal history check.
